New Cars for 2012

The announcements of the new cars for 2012 are already in full swing. The automobile business has bounced back strongly from the problems the economy wrought on it just a few short years ago, and an exciting new crop of vehicles will be arriving in showrooms early this Fall.
Though many new cars for 2012 still use the model names from previous model year offerings, there are some totally new entries to be considered.

Topping the list of new cars for 2012 is an auto maker who has been away from the North American market for so long, many drivers don’t remember their cars at all. Yet they are one of the largest auto makers in the world, which was founded in 1899; Fiat. The earlier versions of the 2012 Fiat 500 date back over 50 years. As cute as ever, the sporty Mini-like car will be a welcome addition to any driveway, especially with the cloth rollback roof which debuts in 2012 models. For extra sporty driving there will be a tuned version, the Abarth, due later in the year. Fiat showrooms are sure to draw attention from aging hippies who had the 1960′s version of these Italian rides.

The next in our line up of new cars for 2012 is from Scion. Their previous year models have been well received and the 2012 Scion iQ will be a great “run around town” errand car. This is a super cute little econo box with an aero shaped body. Tiny in overall size it is actually dwarfed by the also small Toyota Yaris model. It is rumored that Toyota, the Scion manufacturer, will offer the iQ as a plug in hybrid car later in the model year.
Ford has been knocking the sales ball out of the park with their cars, and for 2012 their small Focus will be available as a 5 door SFE model with 40 mile per gallon fuel economy and terrific sporty looks. It going to be a great year for small car lovers, and Ford will be right in the mix with the Focus.

While staying with the smaller car theme, the 2012 BMW 1 Series is offered in a tiny terror package as an M Model. BMW has been known for their performance M series, and the little M-1 Series will fly with its 340 hp twin turbo six. It will also set you back at least $47,000, which puts it in the range of Ford’s Mustang Boss 302, which is noticeably larger and retro-cool.

Honda has been a leader in small cars for many years, and the all new for 2012 Civic is much anticipated. It will be available in a range of models and may be offered in a “green” natural gas model and a hybrid. Honda has been quiet on the details, and anxious buyers are waiting for the first roll out of the new Civics.

For all car lovers the new cars for 2012 will have something to offer, and it will prove to be another great year for the automobile.
